Corgan leaders will present the largest net-positive corporate campus in the United States, located in Irving, Texas. Together, they will share key insights from the design process, including how the facade translates the movement of the surrounding lakes into a rhythmic interplay of concrete and glass. Designed through solar-informed analysis, the envelope calibrates transparency and opacity to balance daylight, views, and thermal performance, while electrochromic glazing adjusts throughout the day to reduce heat gain and support occupant comfort. Low-carbon concrete panels reduce embodied carbon, and an elevated photovoltaic canopy makes renewable energy generation a defining architectural feature. These elements come together to create a facade that operates as an environmental system grounded in place. It expresses a distinct identity that’s both site-specific and performance-driven.

CIVIC PERSPECTIVE Off-Street Parking Reform for a More Livable Dallas

10:45 – 11:15 AM

Complimentary Networking Lunch | Methods+Materials Gallery Break

11:15 – 12:00 PM

Design and technical leaders from Perkins&Will and HKS will discuss key considerations in integrating parking within the facades of new mixed-use developments and hospitality. Perkins&Will will share insight into The Epic, a large mixed-use project in downtown Dallas where structured parking is embedded within a dense urban block alongside office, hotel, residential, and retail uses. HKS will address similar themes through its work on the JW Marriott Dallas Arts District Hotel, a luxury hotel constructed above an existing parking structure, requiring careful coordination of structure, facade design, and guest experience.

AEC leaders will share insight into the design process and technical execution behind the Bank of America Tower at Parkside, designed by KPF. Rising 30 stories above Klyde Warren Park in Dallas’s Uptown district, the 493,000-square-foot office tower establishes a strong relationship to the park through a facade strategy that extends greenery vertically via integrated terraces. A gridded envelope and staggered two-story block segments further differentiate the tower from neighboring glass high-rises, shaping its distinct massing while modulating light and views.
