The Campus at Horton, a collaboration with Stockdale Capital Partners and RDC, is one of the largest adaptive reuse projects in the western US – converting retail to life science and research space with a net zero approach. The design is poised to create a new, environmentally responsive hub for creative office while actively engaging in the dynamic history and ideas of the site’s past. The project continues to engage heavily with the city fabric, extending Jerde’s intent of an urban space that grows and changes with the culture of San Diego.

UCSD’s Pepper Canyon West Living and Learning Neighborhood is a 580,000-square-foot student residential complex consisting of two buildings accommodating 1,300 beds. Ryan Bussard, Design Director at Perkins&Will will share on the variety of facade systems employed to create one of UCSD’s finest student housing complexes.

Elevating the Passenger Experience through the Integration of the Airport Art Program and Architecture: The design team for San Diego Airport Terminal 1 will explore how incorporating art and architecture creates opportunities for an Immersive large-scale installation that elevates the passenger experience, improves wayfinding, and showcases the region’s environment, light, and distinctive characteristics.
