Chris Ertsenian

Senior Technologist

Moriyama & Teshima

As a senior technologist and job captain, Chris Ertsenian facilitates competitive contractor bids, expedites construction and minimizes change orders by ensuring that MTA’s contract documents optimize constructability and are clear, complete and well-coordinated. Chris played a critical role in the exceptionally precise and demanding construction of two landmark buildings: the Aga Khan Museum and Ismaili Centre cultural complex in Toronto (with Maki and Associates and Charles Correa Associates).

Chris worked with Daniel Teramura to realize four major university buildings over five years: Lakehead University’s LEED Platinum Academic Building, Conestoga College’s School of Engineering and Information Technology, the University of Toronto’s Goldring Student Centre and the University of Toronto Mississauga’s UTM Innovation Complex. Before joining the MTA team, Chris developed contract documents for student residence buildings at the University of Toronto, the University of Windsor, the University of New Brunswick and other post-secondary institutions.

He authored Moriyama & Teshima’s CADD standards and user manual, which exemplify his organizational abilities, attention to detail and comprehensive knowledge of building technologies.
