Scott Barnholt, AIA, has a multidisciplinary background that encompasses both architecture and urban planning. At SGA, Scott focuses on design and project delivery for commercial, mixed-use, academic and life sciences commissions. He thrives on creative thinking and problem-solving, especially in relation to the development of concepts that work within a site’s constraints.

Having initially relocated to New York to pursue an advanced degree in planning, Scott subsequently assumed the role of project manager at the New York City Economic Development Corporation, where collaborative endeavors with architects ignited his ambition to delve into the field of architecture. Post-graduation, Scott garnered diverse project experience at esteemed firms such as Arquitectonica, SOM, and WRNS, culminating in his affiliation with SGA in 2018.

A registered architect, Scott holds a Bachelor of Science in environmental design from the University of Colorado, and a Master of Architecture and a Master of Urban Planning from Columbia University.
