Stefano Sani, LEED AP BD+C

Associate Principal and Director of Design

Hickok Cole

Originally from northern Italy, Stefano Sani is an Associate Principal and Director of Design at Hickok Cole. Having joined the firm in 2015, Stefano has designed several large-scale commercial renovation and repositioning projects including 1701 Rhode Island Avenue, WeWork’s Washington, DC flagship building and St. Thomas Parish, the restoration and redesign of a century-old church, once frequented by Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Stefano received his Bachelor of Architecture from Politecnico di Milano and went on to launch his own design firm, Studio Artemis in Italy. He also spent time working in Paris, France, where he focused on 19th century building renovations. Upon relocating to the United States, Stefano designed several international and local projects and spent time in California where he was a member of the LEED Platinum San Francisco Public Utility Commission building design team. His portfolio includes a diverse range of building types including civic, corporate headquarters, hospitality, k-12 schools, housing, commercial office and infrastructure.
