Peter is a Partner at the New York City-based start-up, Hydronic Shell Technologies, that is seeking to advance the adoption of a newly developed and patented retrofit solution.
A graduate of the Rhode School of Design, Peter has held the roles of Senior Designer and Project Manager with Skidmore, Owings Merrill, where he gained experience designing and
managing large complex projects involving stakeholders across numerous disciplines.
Peter has held the position of Industry Assistant Professor within the Product Architecture and Engineering Program of Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey, where he led the school’s entry to the Solar Decathlon in 2011. For this entry, two certified Passive houses were designed, built, and donated through Habitat For Humanity in an underserved neighborhood of Washington, DC. Also, while at Stevens, Peter led a multidisciplinary team of students from seven different engineering disciplines on a Department of Defense sponsored research program, exploring the energy efficiency strategies for combat outposts.
Peter is also currently an Entrepreneur-in-Residence with Columbia Technology Ventures, the tech transfer arm of Columbia University providing domain and functional expertise for
Hydronic Shell.
Consistent throughout Peter’s 25+ year career has been an open exchange between roles and disciplines and a commitment to an integrated interdisciplinary approach to work through the
lens of architectural fluency. Today, he is solely focused on bringing Hydronic Shell to market.
