Originally trained as a landscape architect, Dana practiced nationally and internationally in the commercial, resort, and residential sectors before shifting focus to architecture at Bruner/Cott. Dana joined the firm in 2006. During her tenure, the firm has transitioned to a second generation of ownership and leadership, including herself, and remains committed to transforming place through design for educational and cultural institutions, mixed-use developments, and regenerative development.

Dana is an active member of multiple prominent organizations including the National Trust for Historic Preservation, Society for College and University Planning, Urban Land Institute, CoreNet New England, Boston Preservation Alliance, and Professional Women in Construction. She is frequently invited to speak on strategic and transitional planning and business development and has served on design award juries for industry organizations and design publications.
