Powell has been designing award-winning architecture since 1991. His diverse body of work has been recognized by AIA Gulf States, AIA Tennessee, ARCHITECT Magazine, Architectural Record, Interior Design, The New York Times, and the Urban Land Institute. In 2016, Powell was elevated to Fellowship by the AIA for his positive contributions to architecture and society in the category of design. Prior appointments include: the President of the AIA Middle Tennessee Chapter, President of the Nashville Civic Design Center, and Vice President of the Nashville Repertory Theatre.
