
Mauro Rullo
Sustainability and Climate Policy Manager
Mauro Rullo holds a MSc degree in Chemistry from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. During his academic career, he embarked on several international research experiences spanning across Australia, Italy and Switzerland, focusing on the topics of catalytic water reduction for green hydrogen production and luminescent transition metal complexes in life science. Passionate about environmental issues, he now holds the position of Sustainability and Climate Policy Manager at Confindustria Ceramica (the Association of Italian Ceramics). In this role, he tackles sustainability- related topics with a 360-degree approach, from a policy-making, regulatory, and business standpoint. His main area of expertise is in the field of CO 2 , ranging from LCA to the EU Emission Trading System. He is also the convenor of CEN TC 67 WG 5, in charge of Product Category Rules for Ceramic Tiles and Ceramic tiling systems, and the Group Leader of ISO TC 189 WG 7, in charge of Sustainability Standards for Ceramic Tiles and Ceramic tiling systems.
