Kais Al-Rawi, AIA works at the intersection of architecture and engineering. He is a Senior Associate at the Los Angeles office for Walter P Moore. Kais focuses primarily on the façades and specialty structures of projects at a multitude of scales, ranging from artwork and stadia to airports and museums. His expertise has been leveraged on several high-profile projects including SoFi Stadium and the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art. Kais is an established leader in the field of generative and computational design methods. He is the 2020 recipient of Walter P Moore’s Javier F. Horvilleur Outstanding Young Professional Award, Kais holds a Master’s Degree from the Architectural Association (AA) in London and is a graduate of Ryerson University in Toronto. In addition to speaking at multiple international conferences including Advanced Building Skins, Facade Tectonics Institute, and the IASS Conference, Kais also directs and teaches the AA Visiting School in Jordan and Los Angeles.
