Niel Prunier, AIA

Niel Prunier is a Vice President and Senior Project Architect in the Venues Practice at HKS. As a senior project architect with experience all over the world, Niel interfaces directly with the owner, consultants and design team to produce the best design solutions for each client. Niel received his Bachelor of Architecture from Rice University where through the Rice Internship Program, he worked at Cesar Pelli and Associates on the Petronas Towers. Niel has worked for multiple internationally acclaimed design firms including The Jerde Partnership, Randall Stout Architects, EYRC, and Michael Maltzan Architects on award-winning museums, civic and cultural buildings. With HKS, Niel’s past work informs his technical guidance in leading large teams for complex and multifaceted projects like SoFi Stadium. His background in 3D digital modelling, documentation and construction delivery is balanced with an ability to promote fluid communication among many different engineering and construction disciplines. He enjoys reconciling the varying elements of design vision, client objectives and technical realities.Niel is a member of the AIA, has been a guest critic at Woodbury University, and has lectured at Facades Plus NY on the use of ETFE is Sports Venues and at the Art Gallery of Alberta on Museum Design. He is currently designing and building a home for himself, his partner, and their three-year old son.
