Tracey Ford

Principal

EOA Architects

Shaped by her degrees in mathematics, philosophy and a masters in architecture, Tracey sees the built-world as an intrinsic design problem to solve. Making spaces rooted in intentional engagement has been a focus for Tracey, whether it be at the scale of the Shelby Bottoms Nature Center or the complexity of the Bento Nashville’s “Aparthotel”. For her, buildings must connect to their community and their site. Tracey’s local designs have focused on high-profile urban infill and mixed-use, multi-family projects, as well as leading the team for the Smyrna Ready Mix Corporate Headquarters. Her most intimate scale project was the reconstruction of her 1913 historic home on Fatherland Street after a devastating fire in 2016. The Phoenix on Fatherland, as it is called, has become a hub for celebrating musical and culinary events. Tracey became a firm Principal/Owner in 2015 with EOA becoming majority woman-owned in 2019.
